We understand that each person's story is different and strive to achieve a collaborative relationship with our patients in order to achieve the best outcomes. 

Patients are invited to take an active part in their treatment when discussing medical decision making and participating in treatment.

While medication management is typically an integral part of your treatment, we take a conservative approach. We believe that being mentally healthy means you are able to experience the full spectrum of emotions that make up the human condition, positive or negative, and that not all mental health conditions need to be treated with medication. We will be transparent about this when this is the case, and offer alternative options when appropriate.

When prescribing, medications are prescribed and managed at the lowest therapeutic dose possible. Extensive discussion of the nature of your symptoms, potential risks, and potential benefits are held before making any changes. We understand the hassle involved in managing multiple prescriptions and take care to optimize regimens to avoid this as much as possible.

Our clinic does not prescribe controlled substances ie. Adderall, Xanax, Klonopin, Valium, Ambien. A full list of what is considered a controlled substance can be found here.
